| There are a couple of hundred odd people who read my LJ, from all walks of life, from many different subcultures, countries and backgrounds. I asked people if they would be willing to send me their favourite recipe (or perhaps recipes for starters, main courses, and deserts) so I could compile an alternative recipe book and the response was immediate and amazing. Rockstars, DJs, Clubbers, Writers, Artists, Film Makers, LARPers, Designers ... Perhaps cooking really is the new rock'n'roll? | If you would like to contribute to this project please send me the following information: Ideally your recipe will use globally available produce and not rely on a particular manufacturer or product. Please write the instructions as clearly as possible but feel free to adopt whatever style best suits you! I once remember seeing a Victorian recipe book that started out with the instruction "Have the cook prepare a goose". Please avoid recipes that are simply copied from other cookbooks. I will be trying out all the recipes over the coming months. Finally, if you know of anyone else suitable who might be interested in contributing then please feel free to point them at this page. |
